This is a smoking tune. I definitely need to listen to more EDM. So many great sounds used in this track.

Perfect sunny Sunday chillout music.

Not been able to listen to as much music recently but this song has thoroughly wormed its way into my ear. Iamdoechii definitely deserves more of a following. Definitely check out her catalogue.

Nicholas Britell has scored a host of critically acclaimed films in the past decade including the academy award winning Moonlight. Reuniting with Barry Jenkins once again for his second studio film, If Beale Street Could Talk, he earned a nomination for best original score. Britell has said he is influenced by a range of different composers including Gershwin and Philip Glass who are clearly present in this piece with it's layered instruments.  The heady, dreamlike harmonies present here suck you in and invite you to reminisce. The far off, jazzy brass and sleepy violins evoke an early morning in New York, the sunlight just starting to peek above the red brick Harlem apartments. Sublime.

This unedited session track is raw and dripping with emotion. One of those short songs that hooks its way into your brain and demands to be looped. Well worth checking out her NPR Tiny Desk Concert on YouTube too, it's an enchanting performance.

🎧 I'm sending you one earworm at a time

Ari's in love again and her new album is a reflection of that feeling of security and excitement from a new relationship, that and sex. A lot of sex. Much of the album doesn't take enough risks to be memorable but I find myself listening to the title track a lot. It's catchy, sweet and has a great staccato string hook.

One of the early tracks off Joji's highly anticipated second studio album. The heavy driving beat with clockwork-like drums and verse give this song a highly repeatable quality perfect for an Earworm. The album itself marks a foray into different styles for Joji showing some growth from BALLADS 1 but with some underdeveloped ideas towards the latter half. The singles teased before the album's delayed release, due to covid-19, still shine here and there are some ambitious gems to join them amongst less notable tracks.

Capri suuuuuuuuuaaaahhhnnnn

The original name for this 1936 jazzy hit was actually "Weed Smoker's Dream". The song was later rewritten, refined and renamed. Peggy Lee and Benny Goodman recorded this well known version in 1942 inspired by Lil Green's rendition from the year before that Peggy was enamoured with.

No way!! Nice fact

OutKast at their most melodic and chill. That brass riff never gets old. I sorely miss Andre particularly making his own music 🧡

Every time I go back to this album I'm all about Outkast for weeks

Headie One here with the inimitable AJ Tracey and Stormzy on the feature reflipping the well known Butterfly sample that was actually originally from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers track Pretty Little Ditty. Certified banger.

Shiloh came out of nowhere and caused a sensation in the Lo-Fi Hip Hop community with her haunting clips on Vine that were sampled hundreds of times. The mystery surrounding her (questions of gender identity and sexuality abound) and the melancholy lyricism combine to form the perfect earworms. Snapshots that replay in my mind like a stuck record.

Such a beautiful piece. Rewatched Shutter Island and was reminded of its existence. Used as the cliché sad song in a lot of skits and yet somehow never gets old.
